Overview

THE DEAD FILES

Former NYPD homicide detective Steve DiSchiavi and physical medium Amy Allan are back on the case. In each episode of THE DEAD FILES, DiSchiavi and Allan first investigate each case separately. Utilizing his detective skills, DiSchiavi interviews witnesses and experts, and researches the history and facts behind each location. Allan, a physical medium who sees and communicates with the dead, assesses the property to identify what underlying entities reside there. Keeping their findings hidden from each other, the team avoids all contact with one another – coming together only at the very end to reveal their shocking discoveries to the property owners, and each other.

Amy Allan

Amy Allan utilizes her medium abilities in the hit series “The Dead Files,” where she works with retired homicide detective Steve DiSchiavi to solve unexplained paranormal phenomena in haunted locations across America. Allan communicates with the dead, often assuming their role and reliving their death; DiSchiavi uses his years of detective experience to search for physical evidence. When Allan and DiSchiavi come together at the end to share their findings to each homeowner, the parallels between their discoveries are powerfully revealed in each shocking conclusion.

Allan’s interest in paranormal phenomena began at age four when she says she was tormented by “shadow people” in her Arvada, Colo. home. Ever since, Allan has been on a journey to unravel the mysteries of the unexplained.

In addition to being mentored by world-renowned parapsychologist, Dr. William Roll, Allan studied psychology at the University of Arizona. Her abilities have been examined and tested by leading parapsychologists. She has worked with private investigators and police agencies, and has conducted more than 500 investigations in both private homes and businesses.

Steve DiSchiavi

Devoting more than 21 years of active service to the New York City Police Department, retired homicide detective Steve DiSchiavi now lends his expertise to the hit series, “The Dead Files.” Based on the premise that every property has a story to be told, DiSchiavi combines his skills alongside medium Amy Allan, to solve unexplained paranormal phenomena in haunted locations across America.

When DiSchiavi and Allan come together at the end to share their findings to each homeowner, the parallels between their discoveries are powerfully revealed in each shocking conclusion.

Following his retirement from the NYPD, DiSchiavi worked as a Senior Investigator of Merrill Lynch’s Fraud Department as well as a Special Investigator for the city of New York. He runs his own private investigating company in Florida, and is also a licensed Armed Guard.
