WACO, TX (August 16, 2021) — Magnolia Network, Discovery’s joint venture with Chip and Joanna Gaines, today added three new titles to its ever-growing roster of original unscripted programming — The Katie Button Project (wt) with four time James Beard Award-nominee Chef Katie Button, An American Story and In With the Old all slated to premiere this fall on discovery+ and the Magnolia app. Previously-announced titles also debuting this fall include Art in Bloom with Helen Dealtry, The Established Home (f.k.a. Jean Stoffer Design) and Making Modern with Brooke and Brice.

On the heels of last month’s digital launch, the network also announced season two renewals of eight original series, including Family Dinner, First Time Fixer, Homegrown, Inn the Works, The Lost Kitchen, Point of View: A Designer Profile, Restoration Road with Clint Harp and Super Dad. The network’s flagship cooking show Magnolia Table with Joanna Gaines has also been renewed for a fourth and fifth season, aiming to premiere later this year. 

Magnolia Network will also debut the documentary film Rebuilding Hope: The Children of 9/11, directed by Academy Award and Emmy Award-winner Ellen Goosenberg Kent. Produced by Talos Films in association with PEOPLE, the film is told through the lens of four families who have been featured in the magazine for nearly two decades. Their children, who were born after their fathers died on Sept. 11, 2001, all share this unique common bond which leads up to the 20th anniversary of the national tragedy. The documentary will be available to stream exclusively on discovery+ starting Tuesday, Sept. 7.

Additionally, new Magnolia Workshops courses will be added on Friday, Aug. 20 led by three industry experts: Starting a Home Garden with urban gardener Kevin Espiritu, Finding Good Vintage with vintage dealer Katie Saro, and Fundamentals of Baking: Bread with expert baker Bryan Ford. Magnolia Workshops is a collection of courses taught by the country’s most talented names in home design, cooking, gardening and the arts. All courses are accessible to discovery+ subscribers exclusively through the Magnolia app.

  • Rebuilding Hope: The Children of 9/11 new documentary to premiere Sept. 7
    • Four families with children who were born after their fathers perished on 9/11 share their stories of bravery and inspiration. They also reflect on how they rebuilt hope for their futures and came of age over the past 20 years.

  • Making Modern with Brooke and Bricenew series to premiere Sept. 10
    • Married duo Brooke and Brice Gilliam have flipped the script on traditional home renovation roles—with Brooke as the builder and Brice as the designer. As more clients seek out their work, they take a leap of faith to launch a home remodeling business.
  • An American Storynew series to premiere Sept. 24
    • This inspiring anthology series celebrates remarkable people hidden in the fabric of America and reveals the inspirational stories they have to share.
  • In With the Oldnew series to premiere Oct. 1
    • Designers, builders and old-home enthusiasts in small towns and big cities across America reimagine and transform abandoned structures by preserving their historical integrity while giving them new purpose.
  • Art in Bloom with Helen Dealtrynew series to premiere Oct. 29
    • Artist Helen Dealtry gives a glimpse into her creative process in this studio-based painting series, sharing the how-to of her original creations from start to finish.
  • The Established Home (f.k.a. Jean Stoffer Design) new series to premiere Nov. 19
    • Designer Jean Stoffer takes on some of her most ambitious projects to date around her hometown of Grand Rapids, MI. She shares the inspiration behind her stunning designs, as well as the important role family plays in her life and business.
  • The Katie Button Project (wt)new series to premiere TBD this fall
    • Award-winning chef and restaurateur Katie Button explores the origins and stories behind different delicious ingredients. She also shares her knowledge of cooking techniques to inspire others to be more curious, creative and joyful cooks.

    • Infused with her warmth and passion for all things family, Joanna Gaines spends time in the kitchen sharing her favorite recipes, where they come from and why she finds herself returning to them time and time again. 
  • Family DinnerSeason 2 Premiere
    • Host Andrew Zimmern visits families across America to explore how the cultural, regional and historical facets of who we are inform what and how we eat.
  • First Time Fixer – Season 2 Premiere
    • First-time house renovators take their home renovation dreams into their own hands and experience the risk and reward that comes with trying something new.
  • HomegrownSeason 2 Premiere
    • Atlanta-based farmer Jamila Norman helps families transform their outdoor spaces into beautiful and functional backyard farms while exploring the joy and benefits of growing your own food.
  • Inn the WorksSeason 2 Premiere
    • After her epic renovation in Big Bear, CA, Lindsey Kurowski is back and ready to go even bigger. Joined by a few new faces, Lindsey will look to bring back the historic Springs Inn located in the Berkshires, Massachusetts. With a keen sense of design, her skilled team and a bit of luck, she will turn this sleepy inn into a vacationer’s dream.
  • The Lost KitchenSeason 2 Premiere
    • Erin French followed her passion and opened a restaurant in her hometown of Freedom, Maine. Travelers from all over the world gather at The Lost Kitchen to enjoy Erin’s locally inspired and sourced menu.
  • Point of View: A Designer ProfileSeason 2 Premiere
    • Giving a behind-the-curtain look into the mind of interior designers, this anthology series lets us in on their creative processes and introduces the inspirations and influences that shape their designs.
  • Restoration Road with Clint HarpSeason 2 Premiere
    • Carpenter Clint Harp hits the road in search of incredible historical structures across the country that are in need of restoration, while exploring their origins and dreaming of their futures.
  • Super DadSeason 2 Premiere
    • Father and DIY expert Taylor Calmus, along with his team of skilled builders, help aspiring DIY dads turn their kids’ outrageous backyard dreams into playtime realities.

The below new Magnolia Workshops courses will be available on Friday, Aug. 20 exclusively on the Magnolia app:

  • Starting a Home Garden – Create your own home garden from scratch and sustain it for years to come with tips from urban gardener Kevin Espiritu. He covers everything from building your garden beds and planting seeds to secrets for maintaining a healthy garden. (6 Chapters)
    • After college Kevin Espiritu lacked direction. He turned to gardening as a way to motivate his life, and was quickly hooked. Self-taught in indoor hydroponic gardening as well as outdoor, Kevin grew his first garden to share with neighbors, and now, his passion for gardening is being shared with the world.
  • Finding Good Vintage – Master the principles of finding quality vintage decor and antique items for your home with vintage dealer and master antiquer Katie Saro. (6 Chapters) 
    • Katie Saro is a vintage dealer and mother of five. When it comes to finding antiques, the more unique and vintage, the better. Katie repurposes these one-of-a-kind pieces into decorative statements, often using her own home as a showroom for selling antiques to her clients.
  • Fundamentals of Baking: Bread – Master the fundamentals of breadmaking from expert baker Bryan Ford as he shares tips and secrets on how to make delicious fresh bread at home and breaks down two of his favorite recipes. (9 Chapters)
    • Honduran-American Bryan Ford found his calling when he changed careers from CPA to baker. Inspired by his at-home baker mother, he pursued his passion for artisanal sweet and savory goods, becoming an internet sensation, a best-selling author, and working in some of the most prestigious bakeries in America. Bryan is also featured in the Magnolia Network original series The Artisan’s Kitchen

The Magnolia app’s fall rollout schedule will mirror what’s available on discovery+. Network original series currently on discovery+ will continue to drop new episodes weekly each Friday. 

Magnolia Network will make its linear debut in January 2022.
